Two power shutdowns are scheduled for 11.01.2021 and 15.01.2021
Malta International Airport would like to inform the public of two power shutdowns planned for this week. The first shutdown will take place between 11:00pm of January 11th and 04:00am of January 12th, while the second shutdown will take place on January 15th between midnight and 03:00am.
The planned outages, which will take place during periods that were identified as the airport’s quietest times, will enable Malta International Airport to safely conduct works as part of an electrical infrastructure upgrade and ensure the successful completion of this important modernisation exercise.
Whilst the shutdowns are not expected to impact airport guests, Malta International Airport would like to inform the public that most of the terminal and car park lighting will be affected. Additionally, some of the lifts and escalators around the terminal will be out of order, while certain services will not be available during the outages.
Whilst these shutdowns are not expected to impact flights, Malta International Airport would like to apologise for any inconvenience airport guests may encounter as a result of these works.
