Have your documents ready for a smoother journey

Jul 20, 2021 - 13:39

Guests who will be travelling through Malta International Airport are reminded to prepare the required documentation both on departure and on arrival.

On Departure

It is very important to check the travel requirements at your destination country, and have all documents required at the ready for a smoother outbound journey.

If you are unsure which documents are required for entry in your destination country, you may check our requirement index by country here.

Remember to call at the check-in desks at Malta International Airport for your health documentation to be checked, even if you have already checked online.

On Arrival

Be sure that your Passenger Locator Form is filled in correctly and your vaccination certificate is ready for inspection on arrival in Malta. For more information about travelling to Malta you may click here.

In the meantime, below, we have prepared a step-by-step guide to help you fill in your Passenger Locator Form digitally.

Filling in your Passenger Locator Form

Guests who will be travelling to Malta are advised to fill in their Passenger Locator Form digitally at this link here.

Before proceeding to fill in the Passenger Locator Form, you will first be asked to register an account with the EU-PLF system. To register, just enter your email address and a password. Following this step, you will receive an email asking you to verify your account. Once this is done, you can proceed to fill in the form.

Please note that all form fields must be filled in correctly. When asked to enter your Permanent Address, please enter the address at your country of residence.

If your permanent address is different to your address in Malta, leave the bottom box unchecked and continue filling in the form. In the next page, you will be asked to enter your Temporary Address. Here, you will need to enter the address you will be staying at when in Malta.

Upon successful completion of the form, you will receive a confirmation email with a unique Quick Response (QR) code and a link to download the dPLF in PDF format.

A downloaded or printed copy of the dPLF will need to be presented at boarding and upon arrival in Malta.

Should you have any queries related to travel requirements, you may send an email on dplfqueries@gov.mt. For any technical queries or issues, on the other hand, you may send an email on eudplf@healthygateways.eu.
