Requirements for Entry into Portugal from Malta
Latest Update: All passengers travelling to Portugal are required to present a negative result of a Covid-19 test prior to boarding their flight, regardless of their vaccination status.
If you are travelling from Malta to Portugal, you are required to present one of the following documents:
- a negative result of a PCR test taken not more than 72 hours prior to your time of departure
- an antigen test taken not more than 48 hours prior to departure
- proof of vaccination (EU Digital Covid Certificate)
- proof of recovery from COVID-19 (EU Digital Covid Certificate)
As of 1st December, all passengers regardless of their vaccination or recovery status are required to also present a negative result of a Covid-19 test prior to boarding their flight to Portugal.
Children under the age of 12 years are exempt from this requirement.
You do not need to self-quarantine when travelling to Portugal from Malta.
