Requirements for Entry into Portugal from Malta



If you are travelling from Malta to Portugal, you are required to present one of the following documents:

  • a negative result of a PCR test taken not more than 72 hours prior to your time of departure
  • an antigen test taken not more than 24 hours prior to departure
  • proof of vaccination (EU Digital Covid Certificate)
  • proof of recovery from COVID-19 (EU Digital Covid Certificate)

Children under the age of 12 years are exempt from this requirement.



You do not need to self-quarantine when travelling to Portugal from Malta.
