Requirements for Entry into Tunisia from Malta

 

Latest Update: All passengers over 18 years are required to present a Covid-19  vaccination certificate and a negative result of a PCR test taken not more than 48 hours prior to departure. Passengers between 6 and 18 years are only required to present a a negative result of a PCR test taken not more than 48 hours prior to departure. The quarantine period for non-vaccinated travelers has been extended to 10 days. 

 

Testing 

All passengers travelling from Malta to Tunisia are required to present a Covid-19 vaccination certificate, together with a dated negative Covid-19 test, taken up to 48 hours before their scheduled time of departure to Tunisia. The test must contain a QR code generated by the centre where the test was carried out.

If you are vaccinated, you also need to present official evidence of your vaccinations. You must have been vaccinated:
• At least 28 days before travelling (Janssen vaccine)
• At least 14 days before travelling (all other vaccines)

Children under the age of 18 years are exempt from the vaccination travel requirements. However, all passengers over 6 years are required to present a negative PCR test certificate, following the requirements listed above.

 

Quarantine

Passengers who are not full vaccinated will be required to observe a 10-day quarantine in a government-approved hotel when entering Tunisia. To be admitted into the country you must provide evidence of a booking reservation for the quarantine hotel and a transport voucher for travel to the quarantine hotel. The hotel reservation is to be made here. You will be required to take a PCR test during the last 24 hours of your stay and if a positive result is received you will be transferred to a health isolation centre.

Passengers travelling for medical reasons require special authorisation from the Tunisian Health Authority to enter the country.
