Launch of Baden-Baden route enhances MIA’s connectivity with Germany

Nine days before the official start of the summer period for the aviation industry, Malta International Airport is already getting a taste of the busy months ahead. Following yesterday’s launch of the Poznań route, this morning, the first Ryanair flight from Baden-Baden touched down at the airport.

Flights to this destination, which take under three hours, will leave Malta International Airport every Tuesday and Saturday.

This route will further connect Malta International Airport with the German region of Baden-Württemberg, which is home to the spectacular Black Forest. Up until today, this popular tourist region was reachable through summer flights to its capital, Stuttgart.

Generally speaking, Malta and Germany are well connected. In fact, the German market is one of the top drivers of passenger traffic to the Maltese islands.

Baden-Baden is famous for its therapeutic hot springs and greenery, making it an ideal holiday destination for people wanting to relax and breathe fresh air. On the other hand, it is also suited to more adventurous holiday makers, as its countryside provides ample opportunities for climbing and trekking.

This important occasion was marked with a special welcome given to passengers on board the flight and a celebratory cake.
